FAQ

Will food be provided at the conference?

Yes, there will be a Chicago pizza reception on Thursday evening at Edelman, a boxed lunch on Friday and snacks at the closing reception. There will also be light snacks provided during breaks throughout the conference. For other meals, there are many food & coffee opportunities nearby our conference HQ. See our Instagram posts for some coffee recommendations!

Is there parking nearby?

Our Loop campus does not have any university-owned parking, but there are paid garages and outdoor lots close by our headquarters. For the best rates use SpotHero, ParkWhiz or a similar app. Some close garages: Adams/Wabash , Grant Park South, and 55 E Monroe. But there are more! Input 247 S. State St. 60604 as your destination in the app.

I've seen two different addresses for the Daley Building (conference HQ)? What gives?

Ah, the confusing Loop-building-with-two-entrances conundrum! The Daley Building, on the corner of Jackson Blvd. and State St., has 2 entrances with different addresses. We recommend you enter at 247 S State St, where our registration will be. The14 E Jackson entrance is around the corner had has a different lobby. There is a connecting hallway between the Jackson Blvd. and State Street lobbies.

Can I change my assigned site visit to a different one? I changed my mind!

Unfortunately, we cannot make any changes in site visit assignments. The Chicago buildings where our agencies and corporations have offices required a final list of attendees at the beginning of conference week for security purposes. You will show your government ID when arriving at the site visit and the security team will check to see if your name is on the list before granting entry. But the good news is that ALL our site visit options are amazing – we are confident you will love your visit and learn so much about our industry.

When will I get my Ventra pass?

BTS provides a one day Ventra/CTA pass for attendees who need them (DePaul students already have access through their UPass). These passes are good for 24 hours from the first use (the first swipe or tap). We will hand them out right before our first site visit on Thursday, during our 1:10-1:30 welcome session in Daley LL102. The passes will allow you to travel to Thursday’s site visit and/or to the Edelman reception that evening, and then still be useable for the Friday morning site visits and your return to the Daley Building for lunch on Friday. If you are not attending the Thursday site visit you will receive your pass before the Friday site visit. It is very important that you do not lose your Ventra/CTA pass! We cannot replace it and you will be responsible for any remaining transportation costs to site visits.
